The Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) is one of three economic immigration programs that Express Entry oversees:

Skilled work experience indicates that you have worked in one of the following NOC job groups:

Managerial positions (skill type 0), professional positions (skill level A), technical positions (skill level B), and skilled trades positions
The Federal Skilled Trades Program is for skilled workers who are qualified in a skilled trade and want to become permanent residents. The Federal Skilled Trades Program divides skilled trades into various groups related to:

Trades in the construction, electrical, and industrial sectors Trades in the maintenance and operation of equipment and machinery Supervisory and technical positions in natural resources, agriculture, and related production Processing, manufacturing, and utilities Supervisors and central control operators
The Canadian Experience Class is for skilled workers who have worked in Canada and want to become permanent residents. Provinces and territories can also use the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) to find candidates from the Express Entry pool to fill jobs in their areas. Candidates fill out an online profile and get points based on things like age, education, language skills, work experience, adaptability, and other factors. Your profile will be ranked and placed in a pool of candidates if you qualify for an express entry program. Every so often, draws are held, and the best candidates are invited to apply for permanent residency. You must submit your PR application within the ICCRC’s timeframe after being invited.

With the express entry system, it’s important to get as many points as you can to boost your score and chance of being chosen. Consequently, higher education and improved scores on language tests (IELTS, CELPIP, etc.), or a job offer can raise your CRS score and increase your chances of meeting the Express entry draw’s cut-off score.
